Recipe for Baked Apples

Gather 4 medium-sized apples (such as Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), 1/4 cup brown sugar, 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg


Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish with vegan butter or cooking spray.

Preheat the Oven

Use an apple corer or a small knife to remove the cores from the apples, leaving the bottoms intact to create a cavity for the filling.

Core the Apples

In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and chopped nuts if using. This will be the delicious filling for your baked apples.

Prepare the Filling

Stuff each cored apple with the prepared filling mixture, packing it tightly into the center.

Fill the Apples

Place the stuffed apples in the greased baking dish and drizzle them with melted vegan butter. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes
